Bipolar Fuzzy Sets Are Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets
Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of SciencesIn 1983 the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) were introduced as an extension of Zadeh's fuzzy sets. Fifteen years later the Bipolar Fuzzy Sets (BFSs) were introduced as a new extension of fuzzy sets. In the article it is proved that each BFS can be transformed injectively or bijectively to an IFSs.

A correlation coefficient for intuitionistic fuzzy sets
International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2004Summary: Intuitionistic fuzzy sets are a generalization of the ordinary fuzzy sets in which we have both a membership function \(\mu\) and a nonmembership function \(\nu\). In this article we consider the problem of defining a correlation coefficient between two intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets as a Generalization of Fuzzy Sets
2014In the mid-1980s Atanassov introduced the concept of an intuitionistic fuzzy set. Basically, his idea was that unlike the conventional fuzzy sets in which imprecision is just modeled by the membership degree from [0,1], and for which the non-membership degree is just automatically the complementation to 1 of the membership degree, in an intuitionistic ...
