Subsethood on intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Proceedings. International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2003
In this paper, we propose the definition of subsethood on intuitionistic fuzzy sets, construct a class of subset function and discuss the relationship of entropy, similarity and subsethood.

Convergence of intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2015
Abstract We define pointwise convergence, uniform convergence, Γ-convergence and convergence in supremum metric for the intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The uniform convergence is in the topology induced by lower and upper pseudo metrics. The Γ-convergence is the Kuratowski–Painleve convergence of the endographs of the intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

On the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Topological Structures of Rough Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

2014
A rough intuitionistic fuzzy set is the result of approximation of an intuitionistic fuzzy set with respect to a crisp approximation space. In this paper, we investigate topological structures of rough intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We first show that a reflexive crisp rough approximation space can induce an intuitionistic fuzzy Alexandrov space.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Theories [PDF]

open access: possible, 2013
In real-life management situations, there exist a great deal of fuzziness. In 1965, Zadeh [1] firstly introduced the concept of the fuzzy set, which is an effective tool to deal with fuzziness. However, the fuzzy set employs single index (i.e., membership degree or function) to describe the two states of the support and opposition simultaneously ...

More on intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1989
Abstract New results on intuitionistic fuzzy sets are introduced. Two news operators on intuitionistic fuzzy sets are defined and their basic properties are studied.

On Separability of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

2003
Issues related to the separability of two intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs; see [1]) are considered. The obtained results are relevant for decision making and classification. An example illustrating how the proposed solutions may improve decision making is presented.

Mathematics of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

2016
Short firsthand remarks on the history and theory of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) are given. Influences of other areas of mathematics for development of the IFSs theory are discussed. On the basis of results in IFSs theory, some ideas for development of other mathematical areas are offered.

On the Concept of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

2012
The origin of my idea of intuitionistic fuzziness was a happenstance – as a mathematical game. I read the Russian translation of A. Kaufmann’s book [301] and decided to add to the definition, a second degree (degree of nonmembership) and studied the properties of a set with both degrees.
