Post‐Translational Modifications in Cilia and Ciliopathies
This review synthesizes current understanding of post‐translational modifications (PTMs) in ciliary proteins and emphasizes their roles in ciliary formation, homeostasis, and signaling. This review also discusses the implication of PTM dysregulation in ciliopathies and explores therapeutic strategies targeting PTM‐modifying enzymes.

Does 4D transperineal ultrasound have additional value over 2D transperineal ultrasound for diagnosing posterior pelvic floor disorders in women with obstructed defecation syndrome? [PDF]
Objective To establish the diagnostic test accuracy of two‐dimensional (2D) and four‐dimensional (4D) transperineal ultrasound (TPUS) for diagnosis of posterior pelvic floor disorders in women with obstructed defecation syndrome (ODS), in order to ...

This study reveals that the glycolytic enzyme HK2 mediates hypoxia‐induced astrocytic exosome biogenesis by directly phosphorylating nSMase1. These astrocytic exosomes impair brain endothelial tight junctions. Astrocyte‐specific knockdown of HK2 reduces exosome release and alleviates brain injury after MCAO.

Infectious etiologies of intussusception among children <2 years old in 4 Asian countries.
BACKGROUND The etiology of intussusception, the leading cause of bowel obstruction in infants, is unknown in most cases. Adenovirus has been associated with intussusception, and a slightly increased risk of intussusception with rotavirus vaccination has ...

The premature aging‐related progerin leads to defective nuclear morphology and is associated with disrupted molecular coupling between the extranuclear cytoskeleton and lamin‐associated nuclear envelope. It is discovered that progerin expression reduces nuclear tension, forms nuclear wrinkling, and enhances chromatin dynamics, thereby regulating ...

Recurrent appendiceal intussusception mimicking ileocecal invagination in a 7-year-old girl
Appendiceal intussusception in children is a rare entity characterized by the invagination of the appendix into the cecum. The early diagnosis and optimal surgical management of appendiceal intussusception have not been achieved because of its rarity ...
