Group invariant Peano curves [PDF]
Our main theorem is that, if M is a closed hyperbolic 3-manifold which fibres over the circle with hyperbolic fibre S and pseudo-Anosov monodromy, then the lift of the inclusion of S in M to universal covers extends to a continuous map of B 2 to B 3 , where B n = H n U S n-1 ∞ .

On a class of invariant algebraic curves for Kukles systems
In this paper we give a new upper bound for the degree of a class of transversal to infinity invariant algebraic curves for polynomial Kukles systems of arbitrary degree.

Affine-invariant curve matching [PDF]
In this paper, we propose, an affine-invariant-method for describing and matching curves. This is important since affine transformations are often used to model perspective distortions. More specifically, we propose a new definition of the shape of a curve that characterizes a curve independently of the effects introduced by affine distortions.

Novel affine‐invariant curve descriptor for curve matching and occluded object recognition
The authors present a new approach for affine distorted planar curve matching and exploit it for occluded object recognition. There are two main contributions in the study: First, a novel affine‐invariant curve descriptor (AICD) based on a new‐defined ...

Explicit limit cycles of a class of Kolmogorov system
A class of Kolmogorov differential system is introduced. It is shown that under suitable assumptions on degrees and parameters, algebraic limit cycles can occur. we propose an easy algorithm to test the existence of limit cycles and we give them explicit

Inverse problems for multiple invariant curves [PDF]
Planar polynomial vector fields which admit invariant algebraic curves, Darboux integrating factors or Darboux first integrals are of special interest. In the present paper we solve the inverse problem for invariant algebraic curves with a given multiplicity and for integrating factors, under generic assumptions regarding the (multiple) invariant ...

Some Aspects of Rectifying Curves on Regular Surfaces Under Different Transformations
An essential space curve in the study of differential geometry is the rectifying curve. In this paper, we studied the adequate requirement for a rectifying curve under the isometry of the surfaces.

SIFT-GVF-based lung edge correction method for correcting the lung region in CT images.
Juxtapleural nodules were excluded from the segmented lung region in the Hounsfield unit threshold-based segmentation method. To re-include those regions in the lung region, a new approach was presented using scale-invariant feature transform and ...

Noncommutative Counting Invariants and Curve Complexes [PDF]
Abstract In our previous paper, viewing $D^b(K(l))$ as a noncommutative curve, where $K(l)$ is the Kronecker quiver with $l$-arrows, we introduced categorical invariants via counting of noncommutative curves. Roughly, these invariants are sets of subcategories in a given category and their quotients.
