Concepts of Symmetry in the Work of Wolfgang Pauli [PDF]
"Symmetry" was one of the most important methodological themes in 20th-century physics and is probably going to play no lesser role in physics of the 21st century.

Invariance properties of the microstrain wave equation arising in microstructured solids
The Lie group method stands as a significant, powerful, and straightforward mathematical tool for discovering precise invariant solutions and traveling wave solutions in prevalent nonlinear evolution equations across engineering, applied mathematics, and

Experimental Non-Violation of the Bell Inequality
A finite non-classical framework for qubit physics is described that challenges the conclusion that the Bell Inequality has been shown to have been violated experimentally, even approximately.

Objective Youth who experience a sport‐related knee injury have elevated odds of overweight or obesity in 3‐10 years, compounding their risk for post‐traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). To inform prevention strategies, this study compared patterns of adiposity change between youth with a sport‐related knee injury and uninjured youth in the 2‐year period ...

Tunable Octdong and Spindle-Torus Fermi Surfaces in Kramers Nodal Line Metals
Kramers nodal lines are doubly degenerate band crossings in achiral non-centrosymmetric crystals, arising from spin-orbit coupling and connecting time-reversal invariant momenta.

Low-energy effects of Lepton Flavour Universality Violation
The persisting anomalous data in semileptonic B-decays point towards New Physics models exhibiting large sources of Lepton Flavour Universality Violation. In this work we generalise previous studies by considering frameworks which include an enlarged set

Invariants of Noise in Cyber-Physical Systems Components [PDF]
The article is devoted to the invariant of internal electrical noise of electronic devices, which are components of cyber-physical systems. Time series of noise signals show chaotic behavior. Invariants are based on the autocorrelation function of dynamic time series.

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Degree bounds for separating invariants [PDF]
If V is a representation of a linear algebraic group G, a set S of G-invariant regular functions on V is called separating if the following holds: If two elements v,v' from V can be separated by an invariant function, then there is an f from S such that ...
