In this paper I shall shed some doubts on a widely-held claim: standard quantum mechanics is time-reversal invariant, and thereby, blind to the direction of time.

Constraints On Unparticle Physics In Electroweak Gauge Boson Scattering
The existence of scale invariant physics would lead to new phenomena in particle physics that could be detected at the LHC. In this paper we exploit the effects of these unparticles in $WW \to WW$ scattering.

Discrete physics with conservation and Galilean invariance
In this paper, we show how to avoid continuum concepts altogether for both Newtonian mechanics and for special relativistic mechanics. For Newtonian mechanics, we will establish all the usual conservation laws. For both Newtonian mechanics and for special relativistic mechanics, we will prove Galilean invariance for inertial systems.

Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

Physical invariants for nonlinear orthotropic solids
Seven invariants, with immediate physical interpretation, are proposed for the strain energy function of nonlinear orthotropic elastic solids. Three of the seven invariants are the principal stretch ratios and the other four are squares of the dot product between the two preferred directions and two principal directions of the right stretch tensor.

Performance Triggered Adaptive Model Reduction for Soil Moisture Estimation in Precision Irrigation
ABSTRACT Accurate soil moisture information is essential for precise irrigation to enhance water use efficiency. Estimating soil moisture based on limited soil moisture sensors is especially critical for obtaining comprehensive soil moisture information when dealing with large‐scale agricultural fields.
