Invariant Complements to Closed Invariant Subspaces
Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1979The question under what conditions a closed invariant subspace possesses a closed invariant complement is of major importance in operator theory. In general it remains unanswered. In this paper we drop the requirement that the invariant complement be closed.

EXISTENCE OF INVARIANT SUBSPACES
International Journal of Functional Analysis, Operator Theory and Applications, 2018Summary: Let \(A\) be a semisimple, regular, commutative and Tauberian Banach algebra with Gelfand space \(\Delta(A)\). Suppose that \(A\) has only trivial closed primary ideals at each \(\gamma\in\Delta(A)\). Let \(\pi\) be a nondegenerate representation of \(A\) on a Banach space \(X\).

Controlled invariant subspaces
2001In this chapter we introduce controlled invariant subspaces (which are also called (A, B)-invariant subspaces) and the concepts of controllability subspace and stabilizability subspace. The notion of controlled invariance is of fundamental importance in many of the feedback design problems that the reader will encounter in this book.
