Journal of the Structural Division, 1978An extensive live load survey is conducted on a medium size hospital to provide data and illustrate the technique of inventory surveying. A preliminary survey defines room uses and major sources of load. Recording forms are then constructed and manufacturers' literature consulted to construct transfer functions.

Setting Inventory Levels for Hospital Blood Banks
Transfusion, 1976A method is devised to predict the hospital blood bank inventory of each of the eight blood types that will be adequate on all but a given fraction of days (shortage rate). Analysis of the model confirms and extends prior statistical models and provides a rationale for a number of observations made on some common blood inventory practices.
