Does the variance of surface EMG signals during isometric contractions follow an inverse gamma distribution?

2020 42nd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2020
In this paper, the validity of the stochastic model-based variance distribution of surface electromyogram (EMG) signals during isometric contraction is investigated. In the model, the EMG variance is considered as a random variable following an inverse gamma distribution, thereby allowing the representation of variations in the variance.

Adaptive detection of distributed targets in compound-Gaussian clutter with inverse gamma texture

Digital Signal Processing, 2012
The problem of coherent detection for distributed target in compound-Gaussian clutter with inverse gamma texture is studied and three detectors. One-step generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), maximum a-posteriori GLRT and two-step GLRT, are proposed respectively in a Bayesian architecture.

Detection of distributed targets embedded in homogeneous compound Gaussian clutter with Inverse Gamma texture

2017 Seminar on Detection Systems Architectures and Technologies (DAT), 2017
The paper deals with detection of distributed targets embedded in compound Gaussian clutter, with Inverse Gamma texture. The proposed detectors are based on Lookup Tables containing threshold factors that maintain a Constant Probability of False Alarm (Pfa).

A Novel Controllable Image Segmentation Method Using the Inverse GAMMA Distribution Function Based on Histogram Specification

2019 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Automation and Systems (ICICAS), 2019
Image segmentation(IMSEG) is defined as a top of the basic and most significant process of digital image handling which refers to the techniques that used to partitioning and dividing an image into useful and meaningful parts, called segments. It's so important for many applications which difficult and inefficient to process the entire image, such as ...

Gaussian-inverse gamma mixture distribution–based extended Kalman observer for dynamic positioning control system of offshore platform

Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control
Under different working conditions and control objectives, fuzzy model predictive control is used to optimize the control effect by adjusting the weight to achieve stable and accurate control for the dynamic positioning control of offshore platforms. Also, aiming at the situation where the measurement noise of dynamic positioning control may be time ...

Spectral Methods Using a Finite Class of Orthogonal Polynomials Related to Inverse Gamma Distribution

Classical orthogonal polynomials of Jacobi‎, ‎Laguerre and Hermite are characterized as the infinite sequences of orthogonal polynomials‎. ‎In this paper‎, ‎we present a sequence of orthogonal polynomials which is finitely orthogonal with respect to inverse Gamma distribution on infinite interval‎.
