Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Restrained captive domination number

open access: yesOpen Engineering
The restrained captive domination number (RCDN), denoted by γRca(G),{\gamma }_{{\rm{Rca}}}(G), is a new definition of domination number in graphs introduced in this article.

Non-Contact In Situ Estimation of Soil Porosity, Tortuosity, and Pore Radius Using Acoustic Reflections

open access: yesAgriculture
Productive and healthy soils are essential in agriculture and other economic uses of land which depend on plant growth, and are under increasing pressure globally.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Resistance Distance in the Double Corona Based on R-Graph

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
Let G 0 be a connected graph on n vertices and m edges. The R-graph R ( G 0 ) of G 0 is a graph obtained from G 0 by adding a new vertex corresponding to each edge of G 0 and by joining each new vertex to the end

Gait Event Prediction Using Surface Electromyography in Parkinsonian Patients

open access: yesBioengineering, 2023
Gait disturbances are common manifestations of Parkinson’s disease (PD), with unmet therapeutic needs. Inertial measurement units (IMUs) are capable of monitoring gait, but they lack neurophysiological information that may be crucial for studying gait ...

Inverse Campaigning [PDF]

open access: yesThe Economic Journal, 2003
"It can be advantageous for an office motivated party A to spend effort to make it public that a group of voters will lose from party A's policy proposal. Such effort is called inverse campaigning. The inverse campaigning equilibria are described for the case where the two parties can simultaneously reveal information publicly to uninformed voters ...

Inverse mass matrix via the method of localized lagrange multipliers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An efficient method for generating the mass matrix inverse is presented, which can be tailored to improve the accuracy of target frequency ranges and/or wave contents.

Quantales of open groupoids

open access: yes, 2009
It is well known that inverse semigroups are closely related to \'etale groupoids. In particular, it has recently been shown that there is a (non-functorial) equivalence between localic \'etale groupoids, on one hand, and complete and infinitely ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
