Mixing and flame structure study of inverse swirl diffusion flames
Swirling flames appear in many practical applications to enhance flame stabilization. However, relatively few studies have investigated the inverse swirl diffusion flames (ISDFs) in detail. In ISDFs, a central swirling air jet is surrounded by an annular methane fuel jet. In the first part of this work, the stability map of ISDFs is studied.

Effect of Varied Air Flow on Flame Structure of Laminar Inverse Diffusion Flames [PDF]
The structure of laminar inverse diffusion flames (IDFs) of methane and ethylene was studied using a cylindrical co-flowing burner. Several flames of the same fuel flow-rate yet various air flow-rates were examined. Heights of visible flames were obtained using measurements of hydroxyl (OH) laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) and visible images ...

Effect of Equivalence Ratio on Flame Morphology, Thermal and Emissions Characteristics of Inverse Diffusion Porous Burner [PDF]
The diffusion porous media combustion is one possible way to eliminate the drawbacks of the existing combustion systems. Inverse diffusion flame (IDF) has features of both premixed and non-premixed flames.
