Delaunay Graph Based Inverse Distance Weighting for Fast Dynamic Meshing
Communications in Computational Physics, 2017AbstractA novel mesh deformation technique is developed based on the Delaunay graph mapping method and the inverse distance weighting (IDW) interpolation. The algorithm maintains the advantages of the efficiency of Delaunay graph mapping mesh deformation while it also possesses the ability of better controlling the near surface mesh quality.

Reduced Inverse Distance Weighting Interpolation for Painterly Rendering
2009The interpolation problem of irregularly distributed data, in a multidimensional domain is considered. A modification of the inverse distance weighting interpolation formula. is proposed; making computation time independent of the number of data, points.

Pollution models and inverse distance weighting: Some critical remarks
Computers & Geosciences, 2013When evaluating the impact of pollution, measurements from remote stations are often weighted by the inverse of distance raised to some nonnegative power (IDW). This is derived from Shepard's method of spatial interpolation (1968). The paper discusses the arbitrary character of the exponent of distance and the problem of monitoring stations that are ...

Examining Inverse Distance Weighting Interpolation Method in Contouring Algorithm
SLU Journal of Science and Technology, 2022Representation of results/data graphically depicts a better understanding of the behavior of the results/data. Contour plotting is an easy way of representing results/data. Contouring algorithms use linear interpolation in determining the point of the intersection between contour lines and grid segments when drawing contour lines.

Intelligent Optimization on Power Values for Inverse Distance Weighting
2013 International Conference on Information Science and Cloud Computing Companion, 2013As a typical spatial interpolation method in geoscience and geographic data processing, inverse distance weighting (IDW) method has a long-time standing problem which is how to choose the best power value while calculating. For the issue, this text proposes an alternative way based on enumeration and cross validation.

A dynamic inverse distance weighting-based local face descriptor
Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2020This paper proposes a novel high-performance dynamic inverse distance weighting based local descriptor (DIDWLD) for facial recognition. Studies proposed thus far have focused on finding local descriptors that can represent the texture of the face best.

RGB-D Depth Inpainting with Color Guide Inverse Distance Weight
2019 4th International Conference on Information Technology (InCIT), 2019This paper proposed a method to increase the precision of the depth inpainting method by using depth and color information from the RGB-D system in the same image frame. The procedure consists of 2 steps. The first part is color similarity checking, this part tries to select the same color in a window to collected neighbor depth information. The second
