This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Molecular dynamics is used to investigate structure refinement during severe plastic deformation. The results show similitude with experimental data. Molecular dynamics simulations of severe plastic deformation of monocrystalline and polycrystalline samples by multiaxial compression of aluminum are carried out.

A comparative analysis of two thermoeconomic diagnosis methodologies in a building heating and DHW facility [PDF]
Concerning the building environment HVAC facilities, even if a great effort has been made in developing components and systems with high nominal efficiencies, less attention has been paid to the problem of system maintenance.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

The spatial analysis of diagnosed Chronic Kidney Disease in Nigeria: A case study of Edo State [PDF]
The thesis explores the severity of diagnosed chronic kidney disease (CKD) with particular reference to its impact in Edo state, Nigeria. There has been a scarcity of studies on the prevalence and spatial patterns of CKD in developing countries even ...

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.
