Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

Modular, Textile‐Based Soft Robotic Grippers for Agricultural Produce Handling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces textile‐based pneumatic grippers that transform simple textiles into robust bending actuators. Detailed experiments uncover how cut geometry and fabric selection shape performance. Successful handling of fragile agricultural items showcases the potential of textile robotics for safe, scalable automation in food processing and ...

Gut Microbiota Regulates Systemic Inflammatory Response and Compensatory Anti‐Inflammatory Response Syndromes by Targeting PF4+ Macrophages in Acute Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute pancreatitis (AP) begins with pancreatic local inflammation, leading to the onset of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), followed by compensatory anti‐inflammatory response syndrome (CARS), which causes immune paralysis and higher mortality rate.

A new three-parameter extension of the inverse Gaussian distribution [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article, we introduce a new model that extends the inverse Gaussian distribution. This model is obtained when a parameter is incorporated into the logarithmic inverse Gaussian distribution producing great flexibility for fitting non-negative data.

The analysis of latency data using the inverse Gaussian distribution / [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The inverse Gaussian distribution is investigated as a basis for statistical analyses of skewed and possibly censored response times. This distribution arises from a random walk process, is a member of the exponential family, and admits the sample ...

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Random Variate Generation from Generalized Inverse Gaussian Distribution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the problem of random variate generation from generalized inverse Gaussian (GIG) distribution. The CDF of this distribution does not admit an explicit form, so the standard approach to simulation based its inverse is not the right tool for ...

Overcoming the Trade‐Off Between Magnetic Coupling and Electrical Insulation in Soft Magnetic Materials via Nanochain Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs a nanochain engineering approach combined with an in situ oxidation strategy to fabricate self‐insulating iron‐based magnetic nanochains, addressing the challenge of balancing magnetic coupling and electrical insulation in soft magnetic materials.
