Identification for Inverse Gaussian Channels

open access: yes
We derive lower and upper bounds on the identification capacity of inverse Gaussian channels, a fundamental model for molecular communications in fluid environments. The analysis considers deterministic encoding schemes under a peak time constraint and characterizes the asymptotic growth of codebook sizes.

Moments, time-inversion and source identification for the heat equation

open access: yesInverse Problems
Abstract We address the initial source identification problem for the heat equation, a notably ill-posed inverse problem characterized by exponential instability. Departing from classical Tikhonov regularization, we propose a novel approach based on moment analysis of the heat flow, transforming the problem into a more stable inverse ...

Prodromal Lewy Body Disorder Features in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder With Biomarker‐Defined Synucleinopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is a prodromal state for Lewy body disorders and exhibits biological heterogeneity that may influence clinical expression and progression. We examined clinical features in individuals with iRBD and biomarker‐defined synucleinopathy.

Simplified inverse model for basic lumen shape identification

open access: yesCurrent Directions in Biomedical Engineering
Narrowing and stiffening of arteries are a major cause for cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and hypoxia. A current inflatable balloon sensor system integrated on a guide catheter system is being developed to diagnose the degree of narrowing ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Spatial and Volumetric Characteristics of Glioblastoma: Associations With Clinical Presentation and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

MOGAD Is the Most Common Cause of Isolated Optic Neuritis in Children

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The study aimed to characterize the clinical features, etiologies, and outcomes of isolated, first‐time pediatric ON in the post‐MOG‐IgG era. Methods This was a single‐center retrospective cohort study at Texas Children's Hospital of patients diagnosed with first‐time ON between 2018–2024, with follow‐up data collected through 2025.

Symmetric Tridiagonal Inverse Quadratic Eigenvalue Problems with Partial Eigendata [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we concern the inverse problem of constructing the n-by-n real symmetric tridiagonal matrices C and K so that the monic quadratic pencil Q(¸) := ¸2I + ¸C + K (where I is the identity matrix) possesses the given partial eigendata.

An asymptotic inverse to the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral

open access: yes, 2015
Modelling a reflected wave by the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz (KH) integral consists of an integration along the reflector. By this, one sums the Huygens secondary-source contributions to the wavefield attached to the reflector at the observation point.
