Numerical inversion of Laplace transform

Calcolo, 1967
The paper describes a general method for the numerical calculation of Laplace's inverse transform of a given function. The general method is then specialized to two cases in which the computer is shown to be of great use. An appendix contains the solution of the collateral problem of the numerical derivation of a function.

Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transforms

2004
In this chapter we present some procedures for numerically computing inverse Laplace transforms. Several methods based on different approaches have been proposed during the past fifty years. The numerical computation of an inverse Laplace transform is not readily done. It is a so-called ill-conditioned or ill-posed problem. In Chapter 6 we saw that the

Inversion of the Laplace transform

Inverse Problems, 1986
The author gives an inversion formula for the Laplace transform \(F(p)=\int^{b}_{0}\exp (-pt)f(t)dt,\) \(p>0\), where \(b>0\) is a fixed number, by reducing the inversion problem to solving an Abel type integral equation.

Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transforms

1978
There are many problems whose solution may be found in terms of a Laplace or Fourier transform, which is then too complicated for inversion using the techniques of complex analysis. In this section we discuss some of the methods which have been developed — and in some cases are still being developed — for the numerical evaluation of the Laplace ...

Real Inversion of Laplace Transform

1995
We propose a numerical method for the real inversion of a Laplace Transform based on a Fourier series expansion of the inverse function, including some kind of regularization.
