The Unique Inverse of the Laplace Transformation
1974In the previous Chapters, we have consistently considered the L-transformation as the correspondence which relates with each original function its corresponding image function, obviously in a unique manner. This relation may be looked at in the inverse orientation; that is, one may begin with some specific image function and seek the corresponding ...

Numerical inversion of Laplace transform
Calcolo, 1967The paper describes a general method for the numerical calculation of Laplace's inverse transform of a given function. The general method is then specialized to two cases in which the computer is shown to be of great use. An appendix contains the solution of the collateral problem of the numerical derivation of a function.

A note on the inversion of Laplace transforms
International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, 1990A direct method, using a Mellin transform technique, is presented to derive the solution of a special class of first kind integral equations over the positive real axis, and as a particular case, an inversion formula is deduced for the Laplace transform F(p) of a function f(x) (x>0), when F(p) is known only for p>0.

Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transforms
2004In this chapter we present some procedures for numerically computing inverse Laplace transforms. Several methods based on different approaches have been proposed during the past fifty years. The numerical computation of an inverse Laplace transform is not readily done. It is a so-called ill-conditioned or ill-posed problem. In Chapter 6 we saw that the

Spreadsheet inversion of the Laplace transform
Computers & Education, 1991Abstract Macro programming in spreadsheets is an entertaining and effective tool in the application of numerical methods and so is of great value in undergraduate education and research. In this paper we discuss a macro for the numerical inversion of the Laplace transform given the values of the Hausdorff moments (equivalent to the Laplace transform)
