On the inversion of the Vandermonde matrix
Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2006The authors propose an explicit formula for computation of the coefficients of a given Vandermonde matrix. It generalizes a previous result by \textit{A. Eisinberg} and \textit{C. Picardi} [On the inversion of Vandermonde matrix, in: Proceedings of the 8th Triennial IFAC World Congress, Kyoto, Japan (1981)].

Updating the Inverse of a Matrix
SIAM Review, 1989The Sherman–Morrison–Woodbury formulas relate the inverse of a matrix after a small-rank perturbation to the inverse of the original matrix. The history of these fomulas is presented and various applications to statistics, networks, structural analysis, asymptotic analysis, optimization, and partial differential equations are discussed.

When Does a Dual Matrix Have a Dual Generalized Inverse?
This paper deals with the existence of various types of dual generalized inverses of dual matrices. New and foundational results on the necessary and sufficient conditions for various types of dual generalized inverses to exist are obtained.

A Note On Parallel Matrix Inversion
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2001We present one-sweep parallel algorithms for the inversion of general and symmetric positive definite matrices. The algorithms feature simple programming and performance optimization while maintaining the same arithmetic cost and numerical properties of conventional inversion algorithms.

IN MANY branches of applied mathematics, iterative algorithms that require a different matrix inverse on each iteration are used. Frequently, in an attempt to reduce the overall computational time, the use of an approximate matrix inversion formula for several successive iterations is proposed, with computational accuracy being regained later in the ...

Generalised Matrix Inversion by Successive Matrix Squaring
1993 International Conference on Parallel Processing - ICPP'93 Vol3, 1993This paper uses successive squaring of a composite matrix to approximate the generalised inverse of an m by n matrix A. For m \approx n, the g-inverse of A can be computed in parallel time ranging from O(log n) to O(log^{2}n). The simple structure of the successive matrix squaring algorithm leads to a straightforward parallel implementation.

The Evaluation of Matrix Inversion Programs
Journal of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, 1958It is tedious and difficult to make error estimates in a calculation of significant size. The number of genuine general error estimates which have been made is very small indeed, even in the case of matrix calculations, which are in many respects the basic and simplest calculations.

An Extension of the Generalized Inverse of a Matrix
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1970Abstract : For any complex matrix expressed as a product A = BCD, a 'product generalized inverse' (a generalization of the Moore-Penrose inverse) is defined and its properties developed. (Author)
