Stekloff Eigenvalues in Inverse Scattering
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2016The paper is focused on the forward scattering problem for an inhomogeneous medium: find \(u\in C^2(\mathbb{R}^m\setminus \bar D)\cap C^1(\mathbb{R}^m\setminus D)\) such that \[ \begin{cases} \Delta u+k^2 n(x) u=0\text{ in }\mathbb{R}^m,\\ u(x)=\exp(ikx\cdot d)+u^s(x),\\ \lim_{r\to\infty}r^{\frac{m-1}{2}}\left(\frac{\partial u^s}{\partial r}-iku^s ...

Linear and Nonlinear Inverse Scattering
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1998The authors consider the inverse scattering problem for the one-dimensional Helmholtz equation when the nonhomogeneity is confined to a half-line. A layer-stripping algorithm is developed to recover the index of refraction when the reflection coefficient is known.

Notes on inverse Compton scattering
Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta, Seriya 3: Fizika, Astronomiya, 2023The paper considers some kinematic conditions for the inverse Compton scattering of photons by relativistic electrons and the polarizations of colliding particles, which affect the value of the differential cross section of the process. A significant influence of the electron and photon helicity on the value of the cross section was found.

Linear Inversion of PEC Scatterers
IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008The inverse scattering problems for Perfectly Electrical Conducting (PEC) objects is dealt with in the two dimensional case. A multifrequency multi-monostatic configuration is considered, where the illumination-observation domain is limited to one side of the investigation domain (i.e., only "reflection mode" data are disposable).

Inverse scattering: an illicit reflection coefficient
Inverse Problems, 1986A generalisation of the reflection coefficient that leads, via the Marchenko equation, to a \(\delta\)-distribution Schrödinger potential, is analysed. The case of the 'super-reflector' is considered and its anomalies are scrutinised.

Inverse scattering with diffusing waves
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2001We consider the problem of imaging the optical properties of a highly scattering medium probed by diffuse light. An analytic solution to this problem is derived from the singular value decomposition of the forward-scattering operator, which leads to explicit inversion formulas for the inverse scattering problem with diffusing waves.

Scattering and Inverse Scattering
1993For a given potential, the scattering method has been commonly used to find the wave functions in quantum mechanics. An inverse process of this scattering is to find the potential from known scattering data. Such a process is called the inverse scattering method. If the potential satisfies a nonlinear evolution equation (the differential equation u t =
