A Fourth‐Order Ulm‐Type Method for Inverse Eigenvalue Problems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this paper, we propose a fourth‐order Ulm‐type method for solving inverse eigenvalue problems based on a two‐step Ulm‐type iterative process and Cayley transform. Under some mild assumptions, our results indicate that our method is fourth‐order convergent. The numerical implementation proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

On Inverse Nodal Problem and Multiplicities of Eigenvalues of a Vectorial Sturm-Liouville Problem

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2020
An m-dimensional vectorial inverse nodal Sturm-Liouville problem with eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions is studied. We show that if there exists an infinite sequence ynj,rx,λnj,r2j=1∞ of eigenfunctions which are all vectorial functions of type

An inverse spectral problem for Sturm-Liouvile operator with integral delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article, we study an inverse spectral problem for Sturm-Liouville operator with integral delay. We prove that the standard spectral asymptotic conditions are necessary and sufficient for unique solvability of the inverse problem.

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2017
In this paper an inverse problem − y ″ + p x y = λ y y ′ 0 − h y 0 = y ′ 1 + h y 1 = 0 where p are integrable on [0, 1] and satisfy the symmetry conditions p(x) = p(1 − x) almost everywhere in the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 1.

Neumann series of Bessel functions for inverse coefficient problems

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 47, Issue 16, Page 12373-12387, 15 November 2024.
Consider the Sturm–Liouville equation −y′′+q(x)y=ρ2y$$ -{y}^{\prime \prime }+q(x)y={\rho}^2y $$ with a real‐valued potential q∈L1(0,L),ρ∈ℂ,L>0$$ q\in {\mathcal{L}}_1\left(0,L\right),\rho \in \mathrm{\mathbb{C}},L>0 $$.

Inverse spectral problem for Sturm-Liouville operator with higher order polynomials of spectral parameter in the boundary condition

open access: yesMiskolc Mathematical Notes
This paper is concerned with an inverse scattering problem for Sturm-Liouville operator with polynomials of spectral parameter in boundary condition. We provide scattering data and present some spectral properties.

Conformally invariant random fields, Liouville quantum gravity measures, and random Paneitz operators on Riemannian manifolds of even dimension

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 110, Issue 5, November 2024.
Abstract For large classes of even‐dimensional Riemannian manifolds (M,g)$(M,g)$, we construct and analyze conformally invariant random fields. These centered Gaussian fields h=hg$h=h_g$, called co‐polyharmonic Gaussian fields, are characterized by their covariance kernels k which exhibit a precise logarithmic divergence: |k(x,y)−log1d(x,y)|≤C$\big ...

Inverse spectral and inverse nodal problems for energy-dependent Sturm-Liouville equations with delta-interaction

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
In this article, we study the inverse spectral and inverse nodal problems for energy-dependent Sturm-Liouville equations with delta-interaction. We obtain uniqueness, reconstruction and stability using the nodal set of eigenfunctions for the given ...

Double Discontinuous Inverse Problems for Sturm-Liouville Operator with Parameter-Dependent Conditions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The purpose of this paper is to solve the inverse spectral problems for Sturm-Liouville operator with boundary conditions depending on spectral parameter and double discontinuities inside the interval.

Effects of Horizontal Resolution on Long‐Range Equatorward Radiation of Near‐Inertial Internal Waves in Ocean General Circulation Models

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2024.
Abstract Wind‐generated near‐inertial internal waves (NIWs) are characterized by dominant long‐range equatorward radiation due to the gradient of the planetary vorticity, known as the β‐refraction effect. In this study, we analyze the effects of horizontal model resolution on the long‐range equatorward radiation of NIWs.
