The use of entropy to focus inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images
Proceedings Electronic Technology Directions to the Year 2000, 2002Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images generated of targets which have a large angle of rotation or non-linear rotational motion are blurred if the rotational motion is not taken into account. If the rotational motion is known, the data can be corrected by resampling from the polar grid on which the data is collected, to a rectangular grid.

Large distortion in ISAR images of a moving target has been investigated and demonstrated under controlled experiments. The distortion is a result of small time-varying perturbed motion experienced by the target and is attributed to a modulation effect in the phase of the radar return from the target.

Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Meets Deep Unfolded Learning: A comprehensive review
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing MagazineSynthetic aperture radar (SAR) can obtain high-resolution images without being affected by environmental visibility. The compressed sensing (CS) technique is considered to be a strong candidate for simplifying SAR system complexity and improving imaging ...

Emerging Trends in Radar: 3D Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar
IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems MagazineInverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) is a technique used to image noncooperative targets, allowing them to be subsequently classified. However, the quality of ISAR imagery and hence the ability to correctly classify a target is dependent on the target
