EXPONENTIATED WEIBULL INVERSE RAYLEIGH DISTRIBUTION

open access: yes, 2023
This work focuses on the study of a new four-parameter Exponentiated Weibull Inverse Rayleigh Distribution (EWIR) using Exponentiated Weibull-G family of distribution as the generator. Statistical properties of the distribution (like, Moment, Quantile, Skewness & Kurtosis, Moment, (Mgf) were derived along with its asymptotic behaviour.

Maximum likelihood and pseudo score approaches for parametric time-to-event analysis with informative entry times [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We develop a maximum likelihood estimating approach for time-to-event Weibull regression models with outcome-dependent sampling, where sampling of subjects is dependent on the residual fraction of the time left to developing the event of interest ...

Transmuted New Generalized Inverse Weibull Distribution

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Statistics and Operation Research, 2017
This paper introduces the transmuted new generalized inverse Weibull distribution by using the quadratic rank transmutation map (QRTM) scheme studied by Shaw et al. (2007). The proposed model contains the twenty three lifetime distributions as special sub-models.

Characterizations and Infinite Divisibility of Certain Recently Introduced Distributions IV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Certain characterizations of recently proposed univariate continuous distributions are presented in different directions. This work contains a good number of reintroduced distributions and may serve as a source of preventing the reinvention and/or ...

Exponentiated generalized inverse Weibull distribution

open access: yesApplied Mathematical Sciences, 2014
The inverse Weibull distribution can be readily applied to a wide range of situations including applications in medicine, reliability and ecology. In this article we introduce a new model of generalized inverse Weibull distribution referred to as the Exponentiated generalized inverse distribution.

Multimodel Response Assessment for Monthly Rainfall Distribution in Some Selected Indian Cities Using Best Fit Probability as a Tool [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We carry out a study of the statistical distribution of rainfall precipitation data for 20 cites in India. We have determined the best-fit probability distribution for these cities from the monthly precipitation data spanning 100 years of observations ...

Bayesian Estimation of the Kumaraswamy Inverse Weibull Distribution [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2017
The Kumaraswamy InverseWeibull distribution has the ability to model failure rates that have unimodal shapes and are quite common in reliability and biological studies.

Parameter Estimation of the Weighted Generalized Inverse Weibull Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2021
Weighted distributions are used widely in many fields of real life such as medicine, ecology, reliability, and so on. The idea of weighted distributions was given by Fisher and studied by Rao in a unified manner who pointed out that in many situations ...

An extensive mathematical approach for wind speed evaluation using inverse Weibull distribution

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
Wind velocity and potential are frequently estimated using probability density functions (PDFs) such as the Inverse Weibull and Rayleigh. Determining whether they are suitable for modelling observed distributions is crucial.
