Calibrated Autonomy: China's 2026 Business Mediation Ordinance and the Reconfiguration of Dispute Resolution

open access: yesConflict Resolution Quarterly, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 129-138, Fall 2026.
ABSTRACT This article argues that China's 2026 Business Mediation Ordinance represents neither progress toward rule of law nor retreat from it. I propose instead that we are witnessing something I call “calibrated autonomy”—the strategic construction of spaces for private ordering that remain tethered to Party‐State oversight through multiple ...

From Compliance to Competitive (Dis)Advantage? The Transformation of Corporate Sustainability Reporting

open access: yesStrategic Change, Volume 35, Issue 5, Page 985-1001, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The tightening of EU sustainability reporting rules has raised a controversial debate between improving corporate transparency and the risk of stifling competitiveness, with ongoing EU‐wide discussions on potential deregulation. We contribute to this debate by examining changes in sustainability reporting practices over time.

Statistical Quantum Mpemba Effect From Griffiths Rare Regions

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
The statistical quantum Mpemba effect emerges robustly in disordered open quantum systems. Griffiths rare regions generate a hierarchy of relaxation times that simple extended Bloch states naturally probe, without requiring fine‐tuned initial states or detailed knowledge of the Liouvillian spectrum.

Fluorinated Fullerene Derivatives for Tin Halide Perovskite Solar Cells With Reduced Carrier Transport Losses

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
This study introduces two fluorinated C70‐based derivatives as additives for tin perovskite solar cells. By effectively passivating trap states and enhancing charge transport, these additives boost fill factors (from 64% to 72%) and increase power conversion efficiency (PCE) (from 11.7% up to 12.7%).

Beyond Batch Addition: Alternative Chemical Fueling Approaches for Enhanced Control of Dissipative Self‐Assembly

open access: yesChemSystemsChem, Volume 8, Issue 5, September 2026.
Artificial dissipative systems typically operate under batchwise fuel additions into closed reactors, leading to only transient nonequilibrium states. Alternative fueling approaches show how moving toward thermodynamically open conditions, sustained fuel supply, and reaction‐diffusion control provide enhanced regulation of self‐assembly and access to ...
