Improvement of Concentration Inversion Model Based on Second Harmonic Valley Spacing in Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), the wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) is widely employed. However, when measuring the gas concentration with the second harmonic signal, errors will occur and the inversion accuracy will be ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Geophysical and Sedimentological Investigations Integrate Remote-Sensing Data to Depict Geometry of Fluvial Sedimentary Bodies: An Example from Holocene Point-Bar Deposits of the Venetian Plain (Italy)

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
Over the past few millennia, meandering fluvial channels drained coastal landscapes accumulating sedimentary successions that today are permeable pathways.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Magnetotelluric inversion for depth-to-basement estimation [PDF]

open access: yesSEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2015, 2015
The magnetotelluric (MT) method can be effectively applied for depth-to-basement estimation, because there exists a strong contrast in resistivity between a conductive sedimentary basin and a resistive crystalline basement. Conventional inversions of MT data are usually aimed at determining the volumetric distribution of the conductivity within the ...

Non-Linear 3D Satellite Gravity Inversion for Depth to the Basement Estimation in a Mexican Semi-Arid Agricultural Region

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In Mexico, agriculture in semi-arid regions is highly dependent on groundwater resources, where most of the aquifers’ characterization is a pending task. In particular, the depth to the basement is unknown for most of the Mexican territory.

First detection of the ground-state J_K = 1_0 → 0_0 submillimeter transition of interstellar ammonia [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The J_K = 1_0 → 0_0 transition of ammonia at 572.5 GHz has been detected in OMC-1 from NASA's Kuiper Airborne Observatory. The central velocity of the line (V_(LSR)≈ 9 km s^(-1)) indicates that it originates in the molecular cloud material, not in the ...

Acoustic Seismic Inversion and Migration for Depth Velocity Model Reconstruction

open access: yesGeosciences
This paper investigates the combined application of seismic inversion and migration for processing seismic data in the depth domain. Seismic inversion serves as a widely used practical tool allowing the derivation of detailed subsurface models from ...
