Three-dimensional quasi linear electromagnetic inversion [PDF]
journal articleOne of the most challenging problems of electromagnetic (EM) geophysical methods is developing three-dimension(a3l- D) EM inversion techniques. This problem is of utmost importance in practical applications because of the 3-D nature of the

The Elk Creek Carbonatite located in southeastern Nebraska hosts the largest known niobium deposit in the United States. Most of the known niobium is hosted within magnetite-dolomite carbonatite, a dense and highly magnetized unit within the carbonatite.

Aluminum‐enhanced afterburning renders AE explosives more hazardous than conventional ones. Corrugated steel linings reduce far‐field AE blast overpressure by ~50% through wave reflection and dissipation. The developed model accurately predicts peak pressure (<10% error) and arrival time (<3% error), supporting protective design.

Geology Matters for Antarctic Geothermal Heat
Geothermal heat plays a vital role in Antarctic ice sheet stability. The continental geothermal heat flow distribution depends on lithospheric composition and ongoing tectonism. Heat‐producing elements are unevenly enriched in the crust over deep time by

This review elucidates the velocity–dispersion–attenuation coupling mechanisms of wave propagation in rock masses, compares six representative models, and reveals how pressure, temperature, mineral composition, and anisotropy jointly control dynamic responses in complex geological media.

Localized S-inversion of time-domain electromagnetic data [PDF]
journal articleInterpretation of time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) data over inhomogeneous geological structures is a challenging problem of geophysical exploration.

The fused data extracted from the distributed monitoring system as the data basis, combined with dynamic geological data, are imported into a deep learning model. As the geological conditions of mining and excavation change, the risk of water inrush at the working face is retrieved in real time.

GEOLOGY OF PASSION: G.H.’S RETURN TO THE CAVE
The Passion according to G.H. is one of the texts most commented on by specialized critics. Since it is a classic text, that is, a book that can be read by each new generation from new entries, the present work attempts a reading of Clarice Lispector’s ...
