Inverse method for interface problems
Physical Review Letters, 1993We propose an inverse method to extract effective couplings and the renormalization group flow for macroscopic dynamical systems. We applied it to discrete surface growth models in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang universality class in 1+1 dimensions and obtain the first measurement of a universal coupling constant.

This book introduces state-of-the-art verification techniques for real time embedded systems, based on the inverse method for parametric timed automata. It reviews popular formalisms for the specification and the verification of timed concurrent systems, and in particular timed automata and several extensions such as timed automata equipped with ...

Semiclassical inversion methods
1991Abstract Semiclassical inversion methods rely on phase integral expressions that connect potential energy functions to the various quantization integrals, phase shifts and matrix elements. The forms prove to be amenable to a family of exact Abelian integral transforms, which allow recovery of the classical turning points of the potential

The Inverse Method for Transfer Matrices
Journal of the London Mathematical Society, 1989The inverse problem for transfer matrices of a Sturm-Liouville differential equation is shown to be equivalent to the solution of a pair of coupled nonlinear PDE's with boundary conditions. A solution is found using asymptotic series.

Inverse methods for Optical Tomography
2005We describe the main theoretical principles behind Time-resolved Optical Absorption and Scattering Tomography (TOAST). The problem is viewed as the optimisation of an error-norm derived from correlated statistics of the time-dependent photon intensity at the surface of an object. The field is compared with Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT).
