Invertebrados marinhos como biomarcadores de fármacos

open access: yesScientific Electronic Archives, 2021

open access: yesEcological Entomology, EarlyView.
Dung beetles suppressed cumulative methane flux from cattle dung by 85% and reduced total greenhouse gas emissions by 18%. Beetle activity accelerated initial CO2 release but did not alter total cumulative flux. N2O and NH3 fluxes were transient and not consistently driven by beetle presence.

A new endemic pearl cichlid of the ‘Geophagus’ brasiliensis (Cichliformes: Cichlidae) species group from the Piranga River, upper Doce River basin, southeastern Brazil

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract A new species of pearl cichlid of the ‘Geophagus’ brasiliensis species group, endemic to the Piranga River, a major tributary of the upper Doce River basin in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, is herein described. The new species is delimited using an integrative approach, with molecular‐based species delimitation methods coupled

Egg‐Carrying and Cheliceral Comb in Ibaloniinae Harvestmen From the Solomon Islands (Opiliones: Podoctidae)

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 3, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Four new species of Ibaloniinae harvestmen are described from the Solomon Islands, Melanesia. Based on the original diagnosis of Euibalonius Roewer, 1915, and description of E. maculatus (Roewer, 1915), this material appeared related to that genus. However, examination of syntype photographs of the type species E.

Impacts of Climate Variability on Latin American Small-Scale Shellfisheries

open access: yesDesenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente, 2014
Small-scale fisheries play a vital role in food security and poverty alleviation in Latin America. These fisheries are being increasingly threatened by anthropogenic and climatic factors acting at different spatial and temporal scales.

Studies on Pygmy Grasshoppers: Bogotatettix Cadena‐Castañeda, García‐García & Tavares, gen. nov. (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae), a New Genus From the High Andean Forests and Páramos

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 3, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In this contribution to the study of pygmy grasshoppers, a new genus is described, which inhabits the high Andean forests and páramos surrounding the Bogotá Savannah, Colombia. Bogotattetix Cadena‐Castañeda, García‐García & Tavares, gen. nov. includes a new species, Bogotattetix chingazaensis Cadena‐Castañeda, García‐García & Tavares, sp. nov.

Presence of amyloid protein in the yellow clam Amarilladesma mactroides (Reeve, 1854), an emerging species for aquaculture

open access: yesAquaTechnica, 2021
Las proteínas amiloides son grupos proteicos que comprenden una superfamilia de apolipoproteínas altamente conservadas en vertebrados, estando implicadas en la modulación de numerosas respuestas inmunes durante infecciones, lesiones o estrés.

Will the Mediterranean Sea Be a Cul‐de‐Sac for Marine Gastropods Under Climate Change?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Marine benthic gastropods remain understudied despite extensive historical records, limiting our understanding of their vulnerability to climate change. Using multi‐temporal species distribution models, we show that intermediate future climate conditions may trigger major habitat contractions for four key cowrie and frog‐shell species in the NE ...

Invertebrados marinos del Cretácico de la Antártida

open access: yes, 2020
La vida en la Antártida un continente de tamaño semejante a América del Sur se concentra hoy marcadamente en una estrecha franja marina costera, que en verano tiene sitios libres de nieve, y en el inmediato mar circundante.
