ABSTRACT For over two decades, firms have built platforms and engaged open innovation communities to improve and customize their products through widened participation in the design process. While the benefits of involving those outside a firm as co‐designers have been well described, how co‐design processes unfold over time at the boundary between ...

Temperature and Productivity in Soccer
ABSTRACT This paper examines the impact of temperature on soccer team productivity using match‐level data from 10 countries across three continents. The results show that temperature affects multiple performance metrics, often in non‐linear ways. Specifically, attacking efficiency is enhanced in warmer conditions, leading to increased goal productivity

Abstract figure legend Left atrial myocytes have TAT‐associated faster Ca2+ release but are more prone to maladaptation at higher frequencies due to weaker peripheral SR Ca2+ uptake and smaller trigger Ca2+ current. Abstract Changes in heart rate affect Ca2+ signalling and contractility in ventricular muscle, but the effects on atrial Ca2+ signalling ...

From Hurricane Irma to the Grindavík eruptions: volatility premiums in disaster governance
Abstract Environmental volatility can inflate property values even as it destroys them. To show how, this article pairs a postcolonial micro‐state in the Caribbean (Sint Maarten after Hurricane Irma) with a Nordic welfare town (Grindavík in Iceland following volcanic eruptions) because they occupy the opposite ends of the governance capacity spectrum ...
