Co‐Design at the Boundary: Understanding the Dynamics of Open Innovation Between Companies and Communities

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT For over two decades, firms have built platforms and engaged open innovation communities to improve and customize their products through widened participation in the design process. While the benefits of involving those outside a firm as co‐designers have been well described, how co‐design processes unfold over time at the boundary between ...

The Application of Posterior Plate in Tibial Plateau Fracture: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal Orthopaedi and Traumatology Surabaya
Backgrounds: Tibial plateau fracture is the most frequent type of fracture caused by motor-vehicle collision. This injury may or may not be associated with soft tissue injury, such as the knee's ligaments.

Temperature and Productivity in Soccer

open access: yesKyklos, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the impact of temperature on soccer team productivity using match‐level data from 10 countries across three continents. The results show that temperature affects multiple performance metrics, often in non‐linear ways. Specifically, attacking efficiency is enhanced in warmer conditions, leading to increased goal productivity

Scanning electron microscopy of acantholysis in pemphigus foliaceus Microscopia eletrônica de varredura da acantólise no pênfigo foliáceo

open access: yesAnais Brasileiros de Dermatologia, 2013
We performed scanning electron microscopy of an inverted blister roof in a case of pemphigus foliaceus. The loss of intercellular adherence could be easily seen with low magnification.

Mechanisms underlying local Ca2+ signalling differences between right and left atrial myocytes at normal and increased frequencies

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Left atrial myocytes have TAT‐associated faster Ca2+ release but are more prone to maladaptation at higher frequencies due to weaker peripheral SR Ca2+ uptake and smaller trigger Ca2+ current. Abstract Changes in heart rate affect Ca2+ signalling and contractility in ventricular muscle, but the effects on atrial Ca2+ signalling ...

From Hurricane Irma to the Grindavík eruptions: volatility premiums in disaster governance

open access: yesDisasters, Volume 50, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Environmental volatility can inflate property values even as it destroys them. To show how, this article pairs a postcolonial micro‐state in the Caribbean (Sint Maarten after Hurricane Irma) with a Nordic welfare town (Grindavík in Iceland following volcanic eruptions) because they occupy the opposite ends of the governance capacity spectrum ...

Roof collapse accumulation and stress evolution characteristics of double-inclined mining in steeply inclined medium-thick coal seam

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
The pseudo-inclined mining has limited capacity to reduce the inclination angle of working face, necessitating breakthroughs in longwall comprehensive mechanized mining methods for steeply inclined medium-thick coal seam with inclination angles exceeding
