Power loss investigation in HVDC for cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverters (CHB-MLI) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the last decade, the use of voltage-source multilevel inverters in industrial and utility power applications has been increased significantly mainly due to the many advantages of multilevel inverters, compared to conventional two level inverters ...

COMPARISON BETWEEN LS-PWM AND LPS-PWM FOR SWITCHING-CAPACITOR (SC) INVERTER

open access: yesMağallaẗ Al-kūfaẗ Al-handasiyyaẗ, 2018
A two modulation methods of the switching-capacitor inverter are proposed. The inverter output voltage is larger than the input voltage by connect switching-capacitor in series and in parallel respectively. The level output voltages are decided by number

HIV‐1 establishes immediate latency in T cells expressing the viral Nef protein

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Nef is a viral protein often omitted from HIV‐1 reporter viruses. Consequently, its role in viral latency is unclear. We developed three novel dual reporter HIV‐1 derivatives that express Nef and allow for detection of latent and productive infection. Using these reporters, we show that Nef does not affect the establishment of immediate viral latency ...

Multilevel single phase isolated inverter with reduced number of switches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper proposes a cascaded single phase multilevel inverter using an off-the-shelf three-phase inverter and transformer. The concept is based on a cascaded connection of two inverter legs using a typical three phase inverter in such a way that the ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
