By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Modeling and Evaluation of SiC Inverters for EV Applications
In this paper, the efficiency benefits of adopting Silicon–Carbide devices for electric vehicle applications are studied. A hybrid time and frequency domain-based simulation tool is developed for the Silicon–Carbide (SiC) traction inverter modeling.

Mathematical Model of Frequency Inverter with Autonomous Voltage Inverter
An analytical analysis of the processes occurring in the systems of an electric drive with a frequency converter, which are characterized by discrete, nonlinear properties, is practically impossible. This predetermines the need to use methods of mathematical modeling and mathematical experiment to study the properties of such systems.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Nonlinear Modeling and Identification of Doubly Fed Induction Machines Under Varying Grid Conditions
Historically, grid-connected synchronous machines have formed the grid voltage and frequency. Today, the high penetration of inverter-based resources poses challenges to grid stability, as conventional grid-following control methods do not provide grid ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
