On Convergents Infinite Products and Some Generalized Inverses of Matrix Sequences

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2011
The definition of convergence of an infinite product of scalars is extended to the infinite usual and Kronecker products of matrices. The new definitions are less restricted invertibly convergence.

Convex invertible sets and matrix sign function

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2005
AbstractIt is proved that in two-dimensional unital real algebras a step-by-step construction of minimal convex invertible sets terminates in two steps. An analogous construction of minimal convex conditionally invertible sets of the complex field also terminates in two steps, and the complex field is the only finite dimensional complex algebra with ...

Control of Ferromagnetism of Vanadium Oxide Thin Films by Oxidation States

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nonstoichiometric VOx exhibits a distinct ferromagnetic hysteresis loop and demonstrates a high magnetic susceptibility (χ=dMdH$ = \frac{{dM}}{{dH}}\;$∼10). Micromagnetic simulations show the results of the “partial volume fraction ferromagnetic phase model” for VOx/Co/Pt structure.

Cryptanalysis of the MORE symmetric key fully homomorphic encryption scheme

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2015
The fully homomorphic symmetric encryption scheme MORE encrypts random keys by conjugation with a random invertible matrix over an RSA modulus. We provide a known-ciphertext cryptanalysis recovering a linear dependence among any pair of encrypted keys.

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

A formula for all minors of the adjacency matrix and an application

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2014
We supply a combinatorial description of any minor of the adjacency matrix of a graph. This descriptionis then used to give a formula for the determinant and inverse of the adjacency matrix, A(G), of agraph G, whenever A(G) is invertible, where G is ...

Discovery of an Intrinsic Antiferromagnetic Semiconductor EuSc2Te4 With Magnetism‐Driven Nonlinear Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
EuSc₂Te₄, an antiferromagnetic semiconductor, exhibits a nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE) characterized by quadratic current–voltage behavior. Combined experimental and theoretical studies reveal that this NLHE is linked to its antiferromagnetism and involves contributions from the quantum metric.

Degenerate higher-order Maxwell theories in flat space-time

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We consider, in Minkowski spacetime, higher-order Maxwell Lagrangians with terms quadratic in the derivatives of the field strength tensor, and study their degrees of freedom.

Cell Membrane Vesicle Camouflaged Artificial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Artificial cells camouflaged with a cell membrane vesicle coating are able to assemble into synthetic aggregates that exhibit rudimentary communication capabilities. Additionally, when these artificial cells are equipped with antioxidant capabilities, they are able to protect the intracellular homeostasis in HepG2 cells present in semi‐synthetic ...

Engineering a Spin‐Orbit Bandgap in Graphene‐Tellurium Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tellurium intercalation in epitaxial graphene on Ir(111) enables the emergence of a spin–orbit‐induced bandgap with energy spin splitting. By combining STM, ARPES, spin‐resolved ARPES, and DFT, two structural phases are identified, both exhibiting tunable electronic doping.
