Refractory Status Epilepticus Treated With Bilateral Pulvinar Deep Brain Stimulation—A Case Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT New‐onset refractory status epilepticus (NORSE) arises without an identifiable cause or prior epilepsy history, with a 16%–27% mortality rate and significant long‐term neurological sequelae. Neuromodulation such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) targeting the anterior and centromedian thalamic nuclei has shown promise when the traditional ...

On the Impacts of Crisis on the Risk Premium: Evidence from the US Stock Market using a Conditional CAPM [PDF]

open access: yes
This article investigates the evolution of the US risk premium in periods of crisis. First, we estimate a conditional CAPM with time-varying systematic risk and price of risk using a multivariate GARCH-in-Mean model.

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

Efficient and Weighting Factor‐Free Predictive Current Control for Three‐Level PMSM Drives via Cost Function Division

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
The conventional model predictive current control (MPCC) of a three‐level neutral‐point‐clamped (3L‐NPC) inverter‐fed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive suffers from enormous computational stress due to the evaluation of comprehensive ...
