ABSTRACT We analyse growth vulnerability in the four largest Euro Area (EA) economies, measured as a lower quantile of the growth distribution conditional on EA‐wide and country‐specific macroeconomic/financial factors. Bark‐associated yeasts and their potential role as tree carbon sink at the treeline of the southern Andes

In the southern Andes, Nothofagus pumilio shows elevational decreases in the concentrations of carbon reserves which are the food of bark‐associated yeasts, suggesting that competition for carbohydrates between tree growth and bark‐associated yeasts may cause carbon shortages.
