An investigation of the tremorgenic actions of harmine in the rat

Abstract Antagonism of harmine tremor by drugs which interfere with adrenergic nervous function was investigated in rats. Reserpine, diethyldithiocarbamic acid and propranolol reduced the intensity of the tremor without abolishing it completely. Phenoxybenzamine, mebanazine and atropine were without effect.

A CONTROLLED INVESTIGATION OF THE " GLYCOLYPTIC " ACTION OF FENFLURAMINE

Abstract The " glycolyptic " action of fenfluramine was investigated travenous administration to one normal subject, and by a 6-week metabolic-balance study on four obese patients. Fenfluramine in combination with a reducing diet did not cause a greater weight-loss than the same reducing diet given with identical placebo tablets.
