2006Abstract The Secretary of State is given the power to make rules under s 69 of RIPA. Sections 69(9) and 69(10) provide that the rules made on the first occasion on which the power was exercised did not need to be approved by Parliament, but had to be approved after being made in accordance with subs (10).
