Investment and current utility change in dynamically inefficient economies [PDF]

open access: yes
An extensive literature shows the importance of investment policy for sustainability of resource-based economies by examining the role of investment in current utility change (CUC) for a competitive optimizing economy.

Membrane‐Mediated Force Transduction Drives Stick‐Slip Motion of Lipid Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rotating magnetic field actuates a ferromagnetic particle inside a lipid vesicle, generating internal flows that induce stick‐slip propulsion near a surface. Membrane properties—elasticity, excess area, and phase behavior—modulate this motion by shaping stress dissipation and force transduction.

Neoclassical vs Evolutionary Theories of Financial Constraints : Critique and Prospectus [PDF]

open access: yes
Complicated neoclassical models predict that if investment is sensitive to current financial performance, this is a sign that something is "wrong" and is to be regarded as a problem for policy.

Microwave Ultrafast Heating on Iron‐based Nanogap Catalysts for CO2 Reduction Coupling with Coke Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs a nanogap‐induced microwave discharge strategy to pretreat coke deposits on iron‐based catalysts with engineered nanogaps, causing ultrarapid heating to 1990 K within seconds, selectively eliminating >70% surface carbon deposits and converting waste plastics and greenhouse gases into syngas.

A novel integrated model of Generation Z’s green investment intentions: combining SOR, social cognitive, utility, and prospect theories

open access: yesFuture Business Journal
Generation Z is pivotal to the future of sustainable finance, yet prevailing behavioral models, particularly the Theory of Planned Behavior, provide an incomplete understanding of how their investment decisions emerge from the interplay of digital ...

Creating Cell‐Based Hybrid Noodles for Sustainable and Nutrient‐Balanced Diets via a Serum‐Free and Animal‐Free 3D Co‐Differentiation System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a 3D co‐culture and co‐differentiation system for porcine muscle stem cells (pMuSCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (pMSCs) on edible starch‐based scaffolds. The system simultaneously generates myotubes and adipocytes without using serum or chemical inducers.

A Strategic R&D Investment with Flexible Development Time in Real Option Game Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
The real option theory provides a useful tool to evaluate an R&D investment under uncertainty because, unlike the NPV (Net Present Value), it considers the managerial flexibility that may be expand the investment opportunity value.

Biomimetic Adaptive Hydrothermal Balance Fabric‐Based Dual‐Interface Solar Evaporator for Efficient and Stable Desalination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines the biological structure of octopuses with the “3D structure” of spacer fabrics to fabricate a dual‐interface solar evaporator with adaptive hydrothermal balance. Water adaptation is achieved through the differentiated design of the upper and lower layers, and dynamic hydrothermal balance is realized by dynamically regulating the ...
