In Vitro Effect of Anodization of Titanium Abutments on Color Parameters and Color Difference of Lithium Disilicate All‐Ceramic Crowns

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 10, Issue 5, October 2024.
ABSTRACT Objective This study assessed the effect of the anodization of titanium abutments on the color parameters and color difference of lithium disilicate (LDS) all‐ceramic crowns. Materials and Methods In this study, 19 straight abutments were divided into two groups: anodized (n = 9) and non‐anodized control (n = 9), with one hybrid zirconia ...

INFINITELY MANY INVEX FUNCTIONS WITHOUT CONVEXITY

open access: yesBulletin of informatics and cybernetics
The paper under review provides several examples of smooth and nonsmooth invex functions that are not necessarily convex. However, as the authors themselves mention, invexity has not yet found a significant application in mathematical optimization (or in any other field).

Sumatriptan‐naproxen sodium in migraine: A review

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 31, Issue S2, September 2024.
Abstract Background Varied responses to acute migraine medications have been observed, with over one‐third (34.5%) of patients reporting insufficient headache relief. Sumatriptan‐naproxen sodium, a single, fixed‐dose combination tablet comprising sumatriptan 85 mg and naproxen sodium 500 mg, was developed with the rationale of targeting multiple ...

HIV self‐testing in India: implementation and qualitative evaluation of a web‐based programme with virtual counsellor support

open access: yesJournal of the International AIDS Society, Volume 27, Issue 6, June 2024.
Abstract Introduction To achieve epidemic control of infectious diseases, engaging higher‐burden populations with accessible diagnostic services is critical. HIV self‐testing (HIVST) is a promising option. Methods We implemented an online HIVST programme for key populations across India. Eligible clients were 18 years or older, self‐reported a negative

PROPER AND ISOLATED EFFICIENCIES IN MULTIOBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Đà Lạt, 2012
We employ some advanced tools of variational analysis and generalised differentiation such as the nonsmooth version of Fermat's rule, the limiting sub-differential of maximum functions, and the sum rules for the Frechet and Mordukhovich sub-differentials

Invex functions and constrained local minima [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1981
If a certain weakening of convexity holds for the objective and all constraint functions in a nonconvex constrained minimization problem, Hanson showed that the Kuhn-Tucker necessary conditions are sufficient for a minimum. This property is now generalized to a property, called K-invex, of a vector function in relation to a convex cone K.

Identification of a human blood biomarker of pharmacological 11β‐hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 inhibition

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 181, Issue 5, Page 698-711, March 2024.
Abstract Background and Purpose 11β‐Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase‐1 (11β‐HSD1) catalyses the oxoreduction of cortisone to cortisol, amplifying levels of active glucocorticoids. It is a pharmaceutical target in metabolic disease and cognitive impairments. 11β‐HSD1 also converts some 7oxo‐steroids to their 7β‐hydroxy forms.

Optimality conditions in multiobjective programming models with semi-infinite constraints using generalized (h,φ)-G-type I functions

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization
In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized (h,φ)-G-type I vector-valued functions, by combining the notions of (h,φ)-differentiable functions, G-invex functions, and type I functions.

Some characterizations of strongly preinvex functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper, a new class of generalized convex function is introduced, which is called the strongly α-preinvex function. We study some properties of strongly α-preinvex function. In particular, we establish the equivalence among the strongly α-preinvex
