Objective. To evaluate the efficacy and complications of a novel surgical technique for cicatricial lower lid ectropion that uses a vertical‐to‐horizontal (V‐to‐H) rotational myocutaneous flap procedure (Tsai procedure). Methods. We performed the V‐to‐H rotational myocutaneous flap procedure on 20 eyelids in 20 patients with mild to moderate ...

Cicatricial Ectropion Secondary to Psoriatic Arthritis
Ectropion is characterized by the eversion of the eyelid margin and the consequent exposure of the conjunctiva and cornea. The shortening of the anterior lamella of the lid causes cicatricial ectropion. We described a case of skin pathology causing cicatricial ectropion. The case is about a 68‐year‐old woman with a 2‐year history of psoriatic arthritis.

Is Lateral Tarsal Strip the Method of Choice in Treating Involutional Lower Eyelid Entropion?
Lower eyelid entropion is malposition of the lower eyelid, potentially leading to loss of vision. The most common causes of entropion are involutional changes, less often cicatricial or paralysis factors.

Histopathological Evaluation of Rotation Sutures for Involutional Entropion [PDF]
Rotation sutures are a popular method of temporarily correcting involutional entropion. The permanence of the procedure depends on a fibrotic scar along the suture tracks. Sutures which create generous scars would probably produce the most satisfactory results.
