Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Indirect electrografting of aryl iodides

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2019
The electrografting of 4-iodonitrobenzene that is not possible directly is demonstrated while that of 5-iodo-2-amino-pyridine, 4-iodoaniline and iodobenzene is performed with a decrease of overpotential >2 V.

The self-trapped hole in caesium halides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
The equilibrium lattice configuration, electronic excitation energies and activation energies for hopping motion are calculated for a self-trapped hole in simple cubic CsCl, CsBr and CsI.

Melaminium iodide monohydrate [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2010
In the title melaminium salt, 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazin-1-ium iodide monohydrate, C(3)H(7)N(6) (+)·I(-)·H(2)O, the components are linked via N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N, O-H⋯I and N-H⋯I hydrogen bonds. All of the H atoms of the melaminium cation are involved in hydrogen bonds. The melaminium cations are inter-connected by four N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Overexpression of CDT1 inhibits cell cycle progression at S phase by interacting with the mini‐chromosome maintenance complex and causes DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CDT1 is an essential protein for DNA replication licensing that loads the MCM complex, the eukaryotic replicative DNA helicase, onto replication origins. Overexpression of CDT1 induces cell cycle arrest at the S phase. Here we showed CDT1 inhibits the progression of replication forks by interacting with the MCM complex, leading to the stalling and ...

Sulfenamide-enabled ortho thiolation of aryl iodides via palladium/norbornene cooperative catalysis

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Poly-substituted aromatic sulfur compounds are part of many pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and organic materials. Here, the authors developed a sulfenamide-enabled ortho-thiolation of aryl iodides via Pd/norbornene cooperative catalysis for the ...

Order-disorder phase transition driven by interlayer sliding in lead iodides

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
2D layered materials attract interest due to their potential for application in nanoelectronics and optoelectronics. Here authors report an order-disorder-type phase transition driven by temperature in bulk lead iodides, and interlayer sliding is ...
