Airway compromise following contrast extravasation from an external jugular intravenous line
Extravasation of iodinated contrast material (ICM) is an uncommon complication (0.1%-1.2%) following intravenous injection for computed tomography exams and other procedures.

Radiological iodinated contrast-induced nephropathy
The use of iodinated contrast media can cause renal toxicity. Whether contrast media are exclusively responsible for kidney damage is currently the subject of debate, given that in most cases, other potential causes of the renal failure are present.

Porous 3D‐printed titanium implants are made bioactive by integration with a supramolecular peptide‐hyaluronic acid nanofibrillar scaffold, without the addition of exogenous cells or growth factors. Uniform filling of the implant architecture promotes vascularized, spatially homogeneous bone regeneration, significantly enhancing osteogenesis throughout

Targeted delivery of anti-inflammatory therapy to rheumatoid tissue by fusion proteins containing an IL-4-linked synovial targeting peptide [PDF]
We provide first-time evidence that the synovial endothelium-targeting peptide (SyETP) CKSTHDRLC successfully delivers conjugated IL-4 to human rheumatoid synovium transplanted into SCID mice. SyETP, previously isolated by in vivo phage display and shown

Leveraging the numerous advantages of ammonium‐ion (NH₄⁺)—including cost‐effectiveness, low corrosiveness, preferential orientation, and rapid diffusion kinetics—aqueous NH₄⁺ batteries (AAIBs) have gained significant attention. This review highlights and evaluates the progress of AAIBs utilizing organic electrode materials such as small molecules ...

Dialysis and iodinated contrast media [PDF]
Contrast media are excreted mainly by glomerular filtration. There is thus, a significant correlation between both body and renal clearances of contrast media and glomerular filtration rate, and their renal excretion will be delayed in patients with renal insufficiency. Contrast media can be efficiently removed from blood by hemodialysis (HD).
