Role of transarterial chemoembolization as neoadjuvant treatment in T2 stage patients waiting for liver transplantation [PDF]
RIASSUNTO Scopo: Valutare retrospettivamente i risultati clinici a lungo termine di pazienti cirrotici con HCC allo stadio T2 sottoposti a trapianto ortotopico di fegato (TOF) dopo chemioembolizzazione intraarteriosa (TACE), rispetto ai risultati ...

The use of drug calendars for the diagnosis of cutaneous drug eruptions in the age of electronic medical records [PDF]
A morbilliform drug eruption is the most common condition leading to a dermatology consultation for a patient in the hospital. Timing is an important diagnostic tool since the onset of a skin rash usually takes place within days-to-weeks of the start of ...

Cardiovascular effects of iodinated contrast agents
The ideal intravascular contrast agent would be biologically inert and have no pharmacologic actions. Pharmacologic actions of currently used radiographic contrast agents are determined principally by 3 physicochemical properties of the iodine-bearing molecule and its formulation: osmolality, sodium concentration and calcium-binding properties.

Fatal aspiration of iodine oral contrast
We report on a case of massive iodine oral contrast aspiration with consequential cardiorespiratory arrest. The patient was successfully resuscitated and treated with mechanical ventilatory support and an urgent bronchoscopy toilet with only modest success.

Ultra‐Fine 3D Bioprinting of Dynamic Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel for in Vitro Modeling
3D bioprinting merges tissue engineering and additive manufacturing to create biological structures. A bioink is developed by modifying hyaluronic acid, a natural extracellular matrix polymer, with cysteine. Potassium iodide is later added to tune gelation kinetics, enabling fine printing with a 32G needle.
