When thio-urea is treated with suitable oxidising agents in presence of acids, salts are formed corresponding to the general formula (CSN2H4)2X2:—Of these salts the di-nitrate is very sparingly soluble, and is precipitated on the addition of nitric acid or a nitrate to solutions of the other salts.

Omni‐Directional Assembly of 2D Single‐Crystalline Metal Nanosheets

A versatile assembly method is developed to uniformly assemble 2D single‐crystal copper nanosheets (Cu NS) onto substrates with complex shapes via ultrasonication process. This technique leverages cavitation effects to deposit monolayer Cu NS films with minimal overlap.

Electronic Structure of the Dark Surface of the Weak Topological Insulator Bi14Rh3I9 [PDF]

The compound Bi14Rh3I9 consists of ionic stacks of intermetallic [(Bi4Rh)3I]2+ and insulating [Bi2I8]2- layers and has been identified to be a weak topological insulator. Scanning tunneling microscopy revealed the robust edge states at all step edges of the cationic layer as a topological fingerprint.

Interlayer Design for Halide Electrolytes in All‐Solid‐State Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Halide solid electrolytes, an emerging family of materials, encounter anodic stability challenges that limit their application. By synthesizing Li3YbCl6 and Li3LuCl6 and incorporating a Li6PI3 interlayer, this study achieves lithium‐stable halide electrolytes with reduced interface resistance and enhanced critical current density.
