A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Deriving Iodine-free spectra for high-resolution echelle spectrographs [PDF]
We describe a new method to derive clean, iodine-free spectra directly from observations acquired using high-resolution echelle spectrographs equipped with iodine cells. The main motivation to obtain iodine-free spectra is to use portions of the spectrum that are superimposed with the dense forest of iodine absorption lines, in order to retrieve lines ...

This study demonstrates the use of a low‐cost 3D printing technique to prepare a large‐area PVDF‐FAPbI3 composite dielectric film for flexible TENG application. The δ→α phase transformation of the FAPbI3 nanofillers has significantly improved the β‐phase content, morphology, and dielectric properties of the PVDF film.

A laboratory characterisation of inorganic iodine emissions from the sea surface: dependence on oceanic variables and parameterisation for global modelling [PDF]
Reactive iodine compounds play a significant role in the atmospheric chemistry of the oceanic boundary layer by influencing the oxidising capacity through catalytically removing O3 and altering the HOx and NOx balance.

Uncovering the behavior of Hf2Te2P and the candidate Dirac metal Zr2Te2P [PDF]
Results are reported for single crystal specimens of Hf$_2$Te$_2$P and compared to its structural analogue Zr$_2$Te$_2$P, which was recently proposed to be a potential reservoir for Dirac physics.[1] Both materials are produced using the iodine vapor transport method and the resulting crystals are exfoliable.

We call iodabenzene a cyclic (CH)5I molecule. A planar iodabenzene would have 8 π electrons, a situation best avoided by an out-of-plane distortion to a bird-like geometry.

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Polymeric alkali fullerides are stable in air
Infrared transmission, electron spin resonance, and X-ray diffraction measurements show unambiguously that RbC$_{60}$ and KC$_{60}$ are stable in air, in contrast to Rb$_{6}$C$_{60}$ which decomposes rapidly upon exposure. The specimens studied transform

Controls on atmospheric chloroiodomethane (CH2ClI) in marine environments [PDF]
Mixing ratios of chloroiodomethane (CH2ClI) in ambient air were quantified in the coastal North Atlantic region (Thompson Farm, Durham, New Hampshire, and Appledore Island, Maine) and two remote Pacific areas (Christmas Island, Kiribati, and Oahu, Hawaii)
