Isotopic analysis of iodine using negative surface ionization
International Journal of Mass Spectrometry and Ion Physics, 1982Abstract Negative surface ionization (NSI) of iodine has been studied on a series of low work function surfaces with the intent of developing improved methods for isotopic analysis, particularly at the environmental level (127/129=10 4 -10 8 ). The most promising method gives 1% ionization/transmission efficiency without measurable tailing from the ...

Kinetic Isotope Effect in the Iodination of Aromatic Amines
Nature, 1958WE have determined the kinetic isotope effect in the iodination of many aromatic amines, amino-carbonic and aminosulphonic acids by comparing the iodination-rates of normal and deutero-compounds. The results are collected in Table 1, the isotope effect being the ratio of iodination-rate constants, k H and k D of normal and deuterated compounds without ...

Simple labeling of ω-phenylfatty acids by iodine isotope exchange
The International Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1982Within 1 h 15-(p-iodophenyl)-pentadecanoic acid (p-IPPA) can easily be labeled with 123I by iodine-isotope exchange. In contrast to the electrophilic aromatic substitution procedure this method enables a 95% radiochemical yield. The so formed p-123IPPA can be used without the application of any complicated separation techniques.
