Active Thermal Field Integration for Marangoni‐Driven Salt Rejection and Water Collection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A thermal gradient fabric (TGF) evaporator with an auxiliary active thermal field can simultaneously increase evaporation rates and achieve long‐term salt rejection. The auxiliary active thermal field is well integrated with solar energy to construct moderate, extensive, and circulating Marangoni flow for salt rejection.

Bi‐Directional Assembly of Boron Nitride µ‐Platelets by Micro‐Molding for Advanced Thermal Interface Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for

Enhancing Optoelectronic Properties in Phthalocyanine‐Based SURMOFs: Synthesis of ABAB Linkers by Avoiding Statistical Condensation with Tailored Building Blocks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Control of Ferromagnetism of Vanadium Oxide Thin Films by Oxidation States

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nonstoichiometric VOx exhibits a distinct ferromagnetic hysteresis loop and demonstrates a high magnetic susceptibility (χ=dMdH$ = \frac{{dM}}{{dH}}\;$∼10). Micromagnetic simulations show the results of the “partial volume fraction ferromagnetic phase model” for VOx/Co/Pt structure.

Ion Parking during Ion/Ion Reactions in Electrodynamic Ion Traps

Analytical Chemistry, 2001
Under appropriate ion density conditions, it is possible to selectively inhibit rates of ion/ion reactions in a quadrupole ion trap via the application of oscillatory voltages to one or more electrodes of the ion trap. The phenomenon is demonstrated using dipolar resonance excitation applied to the end-cap electrodes of a three-dimensional quadrupole ...

Fast inelastic ion-ion, ion-electron, and ion-positron collisions

Physical Review A, 1993
We present scaling relations for the total cross sections and collision strengths of bound-state excitation in positive ions. The colliding particle can be positively or negatively charged and can be a fully ionized atom, an electron, or a positron.

Ion-Ion Interactions

1970
A model has been given for the breaking-up of an ionic crystal into free ions which stabilize themselves in solution with solvent sheaths. One central theme guided the account, the interaction of an ion with its neighboring water molecule.

Electrolyte Strategies toward Better Zinc-Ion Batteries

, 2021
With the increasing demand for large-scale energy storage, high-safety and low-cost rechargeable zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) have been regarded as potential substitutes for lithium-ion batteries (LIB...
