Extraction and Acceleration of Ions from an Ion-Ion Plasma

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2011
Extraction and acceleration of positive and negative ions from a strong electronegative plasma and from an ion‐ion plasma is investigated in the PEGASES thruster, working with SF6. The plasma is generated in a cylindrical quartz tube terminated by metallic endplates.

Recent Advances in Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries

ACS Energy Letters, 2018
Although current high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have taken over the commercial rechargeable battery market, increasing concerns about limited lithium resources, high cost, and insecurity of organic electrolyte scale-up limit their ...

Before Li Ion Batteries.

Chemical Reviews, 2018
This Review covers a sequence of key discoveries and technical achievements that eventually led to the birth of the lithium-ion battery. In doing so, it not only sheds light on the history with the advantage of contemporary hindsight but also provides ...

Research Development on K-Ion Batteries.

Chemical Reviews, 2020
Li-ion batteries (LIBs), commercialized in 1991, have the highest energy density among practical secondary batteries and are widely utilized in electronics, electric vehicles, and even stationary energy storage systems.

Ion-Ion Collisions and Ion Storage Rings [PDF]

open access: possiblePhysica Scripta, 1988
Improved understanding of fundamental ion-ion interactions is expected to emerge from research carried out with ion storage rings. In this short survey the significant advantages and unique features that make stored ions useful targets for collision experiments are reviewed and discussed.

Ion-Ion Interactions

1998
If a potential electrolyte is added to an aqueous solution, it is conceivable that its dissociation may be so low that few ions are produced. It is also possible to make a solution from a true electrolyte so dilute that the number of ions in solution is very small. In both of these cases, the analysis completed in the previous chapter would be adequate

Ion-Ion Interactions

2001
Describe and give examples of ionophore, ionogen, strong and waek electrolyte. Why is the charge density around a reference ion not zero when the whole solution is electroneutral? Explain succinctly the Debye-Huckel approach to their ionic-cloud theory.

Ion-Ion Neutralization.

1982
Abstract : A variable-temperature FALP/SIFT apparatus has been built which combines the essential features of the versatile Flowing Afterglow/Langmuir Probe (FALP) and Selected Ion Flow Tube (SIFT) apparatuses. It has been used to determine the coefficients for the recombination reactions of NO+ and 02+ ions with electrons over the temperature range ...

Guidelines and trends for next-generation rechargeable lithium and lithium-ion batteries.

Chemical Society Reviews, 2020
Commercial lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries suffer from low energy density and do not meet the growing demands of the energy storage market. Therefore, building next-generation rechargeable Li and Li-ion batteries with higher energy densities, better ...
