Ion‐Beam Sculpting of Nanowires [PDF]

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, 2017
Nanomaterials often undergo unusual mechanical deformations compared to their bulk counterparts when irradiated with ion‐beams. This study visualizes and investigates some of the unusual interactions that can occur in nanomaterials during irradiation with medium‐energy ion‐beams using a helium‐ion microscope (HIM).

Cosmogenic radionuclides reveal an extreme solar particle storm near a solar minimum 9125 years BP

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Cosmogenic radionuclides from ice cores and tree rings indicate that an extreme solar proton event has hit Earth about 9200 years ago. Contrary to expectations, the event occurred during a quiet phase of the Sun within the 11 year solar cycle.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
