ION EXCHANGE RESINS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS

open access: yesJournal of Drug Delivery and Therapeutics, 2014
Ion exchange resins are cross-linked water insoluble polymer-carrying, ionisable functional groups. IER have received considerable attention from pharmaceutical scientists because of their versatile properties as drug delivery vehicles. Research over the last few years has revealed that IER are equally suitable for drug delivery technologies, including

Skeletal High‐Strength Nanoporous Copper and Metamaterials: The Hakka Tulou Design Heritage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by the Hakka Tulou walls, skeletal nanoporous copper is fabricated via a two‐phase MnCu precursor and controlled dealloying. This strategy achieves high strength (200 MPa) and large specific surface area (27.6 m2/g), and extends to lattice metamaterials with hierarchical porosity, offering new design pathways for multifunctional metal ...

Direct Laser Writing of Polymer Nanocomposites for Tunable Structural Color

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, direct laser writing is used to polymerize self‐assembled nanocomposite materials. Using fabrication parameters, the interparticle spacing is finely tuned beyond the thermodynamically stable state. This is exploited to generate wide gamut structural color in water.
