An electrode for the coulometric generation of hydrogen ion

Talanta, 1975
The anodic generation of hydrogen ion on bright platinum in 1.0M sodium perchlorate is not quantitative owing to the formation of a chemical species With oxidiziĊ„g properties, presumably a peroxydiperchlorate, but 100% current efficiency can be obtained in the anodic generation of hydrogen in 0.25M sodium hydrazinium sulphate, Na(N(2)H(5))SO(4).

Oxidative Generation of Diarylcarbenium Ion Pools

Organic Letters, 2006
"Cation pools" of diarylcarbenium ions have been generated by the oxidative C-H bond dissociation of diarylmethanes using anodic oxidation. "Diarylcarbenium ion pools" thus generated react with various nucleophiles, such as allylsilanes, ketene silyl acetals, and aromatic compounds.

Ion-Generated Damage

2013
It has to be expected that both ions and electrons will damage specimens under examination to a greater or lesser degree. Electrons are low in mass but can travel at velocities which are a significant fraction of the speed of light. In general, electrons do not significantly damage metallic or inorganic specimens, but even relatively low doses of ...
