Massively Degenerate Coherent Perfect Absorption in Gradient‐Index Fibers

A coherent perfect absorber (CPA) normally operates for only one or very few spatial modes. The CPA proposed here uses a gradient‐index (GRIN) fiber to absorb hundreds of spatial modes at once, its self‐imaging property replacing the bulky free‐space degenerate cavity of earlier designs. Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing

This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.
